Position Description
The City of Wichita Public Works & Utilities is hiring a Water Plant Shift Supervisor. The employee is responsible for planning, directing, and reviewing the work of skilled and technical staff in the water treatment plant for a particular shift to ensure the production and delivery of safe drinking water.

Required experience and training includes a high school diploma or equivalent educational attainment. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field will receive higher ranking. Must have a Kansas Class IV Water Supply System Operator certification. If a candidate possesses a valid Supply System Operator certification from another state, applicant must complete the reciprocal process within the six (6) months of hire. Compensation is based on experience and determined at hire based on skills and competencies. The role provides opportunities for pay progression linked to the development of skills and competencies.

Pay Range
$61,634.00 – $113,364.00 annually
